I'll Be On Hoarders:Lipstick Edition

Hey Ladies,

So Marilyn famously said "diamonds are a girls best friend" but to be honest Tom Ford wasn't around in them days. Tom Ford lipsticks are a thing of sheer beauty from the stunning packaging to the creamy formulation that tastes like a vanilla cupcake minus the calories. It's the only lipstick I would re-mortgage my house to afford!

The last two weeks for me have been extremely stressful (you can see more about that on my Instagram @WhatsNewWithSuzieQ) so I thought I would treat myself to a little somethin somethin to cheer me up. Meet Indian Rose, the perfect balance between brown and pink. The ideal candidate to accompany my beloved Soar Lip Pencil by MAC.

It might be expensive but it is SO worth it. Putting it on makes me feel so elegant and lady like! I have done a blog post on Tom Ford lipsticks before and like I mentioned in that this would be the perfect lipstick for a Wedding Day or special occasion. Alternatively if you want to score some major brownie points, buy this for a friend/sister/girlfriend as a present!

Would you spend €47 on a lipstick or is that absolute madness? What is your perfect lip combo? Let me know in the comments below.

Suzie Q Reviews: Ta Hun, Penney's!

Hey Ladies,

I love a good browse in Penney's as much as the next person but I ALWAYS leave with stuff I don't need - Splurgy Sue strikes again. Thankfully this time I had a good excuse, its for the blog. That sentence constantly gets me out of a pickle.

The last time I was in Penney's I spotted that they had added to their "PS Love This' range. I have never actually tried any of their makeup items so I'll hold my comments until I do but I am constantly picking up their eye lashes whenever I'm in Penney's. There lashes range from natural to RuPaul-esque so they have you covered for every occasion. My favourite pair are the Double Trouble lashes and they cost only €2! I know, right?! I also picked up some individuals for my kit.

I also spotted the Makeup Brush Cleanser which I've seen being mentioned on Twitter a couple of times. It's alright not the worst in the world. It doesn't have an offensive scent and doesn't dry out brush hairs which is essential if you've put money into your brush collection. It's perfect for spot cleaning, beginners or people who are just too darn lazy to properly clean their brushes (I have a super detailed post on how to wash brushes here). In all honesty though if you pass one by I would pick it up for only €2.50 its a handy one to have lying around and it's not going to break the bank.

Also, how CUTE is the stationary in Penney's at the moment. I'm a well organised Bridie these days with my to-do lists and weekly planner. It makes my desk look like something off Pinterest.

So let me know in the comments what you think about the Penney's makeup rang. Have you tried it? What should I pick up next time I'm in store....c'mon enable me!

Margot Robbie GRWM!

Hey Ladies,

Time for another YouTube Vid!

I thought it would be fun to do a GRWM style video to ease myself into filming tutorials, baby steps. So for my first look I was so inspired when I saw Margot Robbie walking the red carpet at the Oscars, seriously that woman can do no wrong *girl crush alert*. From the dress to the jewels to that red lip... she looked stunning. The lip colour she wore is a colour from Hourglass but I thought it looked so similar to MAC Lady Danger, which I actually own but have never used. I know what has taken me so long? I normally wear blue tone reds so this lip colour was way out of my comfort zone.

Sure anyways lets cut the chit chat and get into the nitty gritty!

And while your there why not hit the subscribe button and let me know in the comments what look you want to see next!

Suzie Q Reviews: The Wonder Pad!

Hey Ladies,

After doing a MAHOOSIVE clear out of my skincare drawer it dawned on me that I have never done a post on my secret weapon when it comes to controlling blemishes! If you have never heard of Waxperts I'll give you a little bit of background info on the company. They are an Irish waxing company run by the lovely Ellen and they are masters in waxing, waxing after care and all things skin. They also have a salon in Dun Laoghaire and everything with Waxperts from the salon to the packaging of their products is vintage/boudoir inspired- which I absolutely love!

Right, back on track. The Wonder Pads in a nutshell are treatment pads that contain salicylic acid to help prevent against ingrown hairs. So if your a wax-er or a shaver you NEED these. But if you have an acne prone skin these are ideal at controlling breakouts and clearing up skin. I have been using these for a long time now and have found them very effective without being drying or irritating.

The Wonder Pads are a crucial step in my everyday routine and I have tried replacing them with something similar like the Origins Blemish Treatment pads and to be frank...they just weren't as good and there was a massive price difference (€7.95 compared to €31). At night I sweep a pad across my skin after my cleanser and before my moisturiser, I love that there is no tingle or irritation and they don't leave any residue on the skin. Its also widely known that with an acne prone skin that scrubs are just a complete no-no and sometime you need a little somethin' somethin' to give your skin a polish and The Wonder Pads give the right amount of polish and the salicylic acid also helps to exfoliate. They are also superb for people who don't usually suffer with breakouts but get the odd breakout around "that" time of the month. In each tub you get 40 pads so whether your using them for waxing/shaving or using them for blemishes one tub lasts a long time!

You can find Waxperts products on Cloud10Beauty.com and if you missed it I posted my first YouTube video on Saturday and in that video I showed a new release from Waxperts that is to-die-for so you can check that out here.

Until next time!

Makeup Tutorial - Glittering Gold

Hey Ladies,

I have filmed my first makeup tutorial, so now we won't have picture heavy posts and I can show you my makeup looks in more detail. At the recent blogger meet up (which I will soon have a post on) we went to Inglot Jervis Street for a makeup demonstration. The makeup artist Jessica did the mot amazing glittery smokey eye so naturally I had to buy the products and share what I learned with you!

I have included my video in this post but I would be really appreciative if you took the time to subscribe to my YouTube channel. Hopefully this is the first video of many!

Love,
S

I'm in Tatler!

Hey!

I got a Tweet from my friend Christina yesterday with some very exciting news! I know it's not that major but this is the first time I have been pictured in a magazine and not just any magazine....TATLER MAGAZINE!

I am so excited, if you couldn't already tell. The picture featured in the magazine are from when I attended the Diet Coke event a few weeks back. I hope this is the first of many good things.

Love,
S
