Suzie Q Reviews: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Hey Ladies,

My lipstick obsession continues and to be honest it's starting to get a little bit out of hand. The latest additions to my collection are the Soft Matte Lip Creams by NYX that I picked up in New York before they became available here in Ireland. The texture of these lip products are incredible they are long lasting but I found they are more hydrating than drying and the pigmentation is second to none, no lip pencil required. Did I mention that they smell like vanilla cupcakes, added bonus. I picked up the shades Copenhagen, Prague and Istanbul. The only downside to the Soft Matte Lip Creams is that if you try to layer them they can ball up on the lips but using very little product you can easily avoid that.

Liquid lipsticks really had their moment in 2015 but I don't see them slowing down any time soon so definitely add one of these to your shopping list, there are 20 shades in the range. I have also just seen that NYX are releasing a new product called Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick that boast long lasting/waterproof lip colour with a suede finish so if you don't like the matte look this might be your guy.

   Copenhagen

 Prague

Istanbul

It's safe to say NYX have lip products covered. You can pick up the Soft Matte Lip Creams online on Boots.ie for €7.75 and you can also find the recent additions of the Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks on there too for €9.25!

Pretty Little Polish

Hey Ladies,
It's no lie that I absolutely love nail polish, so today is another polish post!  These lovely delights come to you from the Avon Nail Wear Pro and Nail Wear Pro Plus range. I usually pick polish colours that will flatter my dead white skin and make my hands look pretty. These two polishes are right up my street in the shades Coral Reef and Real Red. The Coral screams summer and would look great on anyone with a tan. The red is a deep blood red, to me its something you would see on Vampira, Elvira or in True Blood, truly a vixen shade!

These polishes are always on offer in the Avon catalogue and currently you can get them for the bargain price of €3.25 as they are normally €8. The are extremely long wearing and can endure a hard days work. The formula itself is top notch and glides over the nail with ease, it only takes two coats to get a great opaque look. The best part? The are lovely and glossy so I see no need for a top coat.

These are available from Avon and you can check out the catalogue online here.

I hope you enjoyed!
Love,
S

Blood Lust

Hey Ladies,
Well Summer is well and truly here and to kick off the brilliant weather I thought I would go for a bright nail polish, something a bit more in your face. It is no secret that I am a big fan of H&M nail polishes and I regularly pick up new colours to add to the collection. My sister actually gave me this polish as it wasn't her cup of tea, WIN! It is the colour Red Nail and it is a really pigmented red that goes beautifully with my pale skin, its very 50's.

I went to a BBQ yesterday and painted my nails for the occasion and although I love H&M polishes some of them are hit and miss and only work out for one day wear. As I am typing this I can see the ends of the polish that has chipped away.

H&M polishes are really affordable at €3.95 a bottle and they have a huge range of colours!

What's your favourite Summer polish?
Love,
S

Madame Madeline Haul (Red Cherry)

Hey Ladies,
Being a make-up artist you always have to have the essentials to complete a great look, especially eyelashes. As I am building my kit slowly I wanted to get a whole rang of lashes so I would have variety for my clients. You can find lashes basically anywhere these days but to buy them in bulk costs an arm and a leg, not to mention the quality is not the greatest.

So, I researched places on-line that sell lashes in particular, Red Cherry lashes. If you watch YouTube videos you will have seen all of the big You Tuber's use these lashes, but unfortunately you can only get your hands on these (in-store) if you live in the US. Then, I found the website Madame Madeline that sold a whole range of lashes including Red Cherry! The lashes were such a bargain at $1.99 a lash, they;'re great quality and there is a huge range to choose from.

I bought 14 pairs of lashes and it only cost me $27.86 (I googled coupon codes and found one for 10% off). Which when you convert it into euro it is a reasonable price. It cost me that bit more than I expected for shipping as I had never used this service before so, I bought the insured shipping for $20. In total my order was  $45 which is 35 euro! Next time I order I will use the normal shipping and it will be even less costly.

I placed my order on the 12th of March and received it on the 26th which was great!

I really recommend checking out the Madame Madeline site (here) if you are interested in buying lashes!

Here is all of the lashes I bought....

Red Hair

Hey Ladies,
As it is a new year I think it is time for some new hair. As my hair is currently in the awkward stage of growing I am looking at images to aspire to when it eventually grows out, right now my hair is just above my shoulders and I want it to grow just a bit past my shoulders and I'll be a happy lady. When it is at that length I want to dye it bright red, I know it's such a done thing now a days thanks to the likes of Rihanna, every girl and her dog has had it but this is something I have wanted to do for a while. I also think that I could really pull this look off better too as my skin is so pale!

Hopefully I will have it like the images below soon!
Love,
S
